When I was preparing my webpages to be uploaded onto the new server, I should have installed a special javascript to handle the copyright date at the bottom of the page. So now, instead of every page being outdated, I went through over 300+ individual pages and added this script to them. Then I reuploaded them all. This took me all freaking day, and I'm so sick of computering now. So if anything doesn't work right, let me know.

- At the end of the page, all files I didn't have any better place for went under a heading called "Tidbits." Last night I divided this under "Tidbits," which are pages of interest (Hmmm Indeed, Phil's Pirate Pictures), and "Archives," which are pages that were used for one thing and then filed (Monthly MacAfee, To Tah or Not to Tah).

MEMBER DIRECTORY.
- Since it opened last June I was rather unhappy with the Member Direcory's appearance. Basically, the three member sections (frequent, occassional, and visitors) were each their own separate table. Each was a different width as a result. Now it's all one uniform table. I also added the date of the first post beside it. Now I think it looks better!
- Reset Adam's, Matt's, Janice's, and Courtney's birthday counters for 2004.

"HMMM" INDEED!
- Set up a new page with the two previous "Hmmm" tallies (7 March and 29 April 2002). Why? Comparison? Who knows. It's fun.

GATHERING INFORMATION.
- I did away with the Board of Trustees. It was a happily democratic idea when I set it up so long ago. The board was all of three weeks old, after all. Over time, this fell by the wayside and got forgotten. Half the Trustees stopped posting. We never did anything as Trustees. It didn't warrant my keeping it around.

MEMBER DIRECTORY.

I finally brought the Member Directory up to date, shuffling members to their current status:

- Janice, Matt, Chad, Bridgette, Jakab, and MacAfee were moved from "Frequent Members" to "Occassional Members" due to their lack of posting. Whatever happened to these people?

- Carey was moved from "Occassional" to "Frequent," as he visits more often.

- There are currently 38 people in the Directory. Of that, 12 are "Frequent Members."

I also made a list of members arranged by first post for my personal reference. This will make moving members from one section to another easier, since they are arranged by first posting (in descending order).

Cookbook information - Please read!

COOKBOOK.
- I'm giving the Cookbook project until the end of April. If no one else sends in any recipes then I'm scrapping the whole thing. Seventeen people voted that they would contribute, but as of yet only four have. So you have 27 days left to submit a recipe before I pull the plug on the project. Did everyone lie in the poll?

I've added all those I know, but I missed a number of you.

It's been almost a week in the making, but I've finally got the kinks worked out of it.

Also, I just finished an άber-Update that involved moving every single Gathering page on Angelfire to a "gopher" subdirectory. This makes life easier for me when I need to update, 'cause it's all together. But everything had to be renamed, every link fixed, and all the pictures corrected. So if you find anything I missed, let me know. I also went through every page and set the font name and size to match the board.

Monthly MacAfee: February 2002.

It's up now.

I had the maximum topics per page set at 35 since the beginning. We've gotten up to 26 pages that way, with a total of 886 threads (not individual posts, of which there's thousands of). Considering that the archival links at the bottom of the page were piling up, so I changed the max topics to 50. Now we've got 18 pages of posts, so it's a little more ordered.

Here at the Gathering, I finally got the new poll up! "Presents!" has been added to the Poll Archive, which will in itself be archived next week to allow for the addition of 2002 polls. "Next Week on Enterprise" also has the new episode "Silent Enemy," following a month of reruns. I'll be posting an Updated episode guide soon, too.

Network54 changes their forum appearances, causing the Gathering to look different for a while. This was eventually sorted out and restored to its former appearance. The change happened as I was taking down the Easter decorations. (Full report)

You may have noticed I made a few little changes last night. At the top of the main page, you'll find the Gopher Gathering Information, which basically gives... information about the board. Who we are, what we're doing, and how we can't be held responsible for the behavior of idiots. I've also got the Gopher Gathering web banner there. Stick it on a page if you've got one. The "Trustees" pages are stand-ins. I don't have the stuff for the Gopher-style pages ready yet. But the final versions will be bigger and cooler.

I've also messed with the Gopher Chat links a little bit. Now, on the main page, the link that says "Go To Gopher Chat" will take you to the Gopher Chat Schedule, where there's the link to Gopher Chat. I plan to replace the link with a graphic.

It's up! At the top of the main page is the new chat room, Gopher Chat. We'll hafta figure out a schedule for it, though. What times and dates are the best for meeting?
