Issue 6

1 January 2005.
While the idea of "A Pic A Day" was all fine and dandy when I conceived it six months ago, the implementation of it has been considerably stunted by Real Life. While I'd just love to draw a pic a day and update weekly, I just don't have that time. For the next few months I'm going to try a monthly-scheme, updating with an accumulation of artwork done in that month. Daily pictures should be able to return in May, but until then updates won't be addressed as weeks, but rather issues. I hope you enjoy this one.

Creative Gas • 23 November 2004

There's a running joke about Marie's gaseous habits. In fact, the joke has been blown fairly out of proportion, something I chose to ignore when drawing this.

Vagina 2 • 11 December 2004

Erin continues to hold to the opinion that vagina is the only way to go. This was drawn in the aftermath of Gophers Before Christmas 2004. It is also the sequel to a drawing I made on the back of a Big Boy placemat at the previous year's Christmas gathering. To see the original drawing, click on the thumbnail image below!

Ian's Funeral • 11 December 2004

When Ian dies, we're going to place him in his casket with a spring-board attached to his back. During the eulogy, when the priest is speaking, the spring-board will be triggered, causing Ian to bust through the top of the casket and flail around a bit. It'll be great fun, and Ian would prefer it this way.

Jeff and the Laser • 31 December 2004

I spent New Year's Eve at Jeff and Erin's house drawing a bunch of pictures of Jeff getting horribly mutilated. Consider these an extension of the other three drawings that I did at the bowling alley in October. I really do like Jeff, and part of me is guilty for drawing these. It's just that these grey markers make carnage so darned fun to draw!

In this first one, Jeff gets his head plum shot off with a laser. My favorite part is his lower teeth sticking out.

Jeff Drinks Sulfuric Acid • 31 December 2004

The lesson here is not to drink anything corrosive, like sulfuric acid, because it will totally dissolve your innards.

Nobody questioned the content of the drawing, only the symbol on the mug. I would have drawn the biohazard blades if I could do so from memory. Since I can't, I drew the three triangle symbol, which is associated with radioactivity. The idea was just to make it look less than a standard thermal mug. Sheesh.

I am also especially happy with this drawing!

Jeff Fights in the Indian Wars • 1 January 2005

Happy New Year! This was the first thing I drew in the year 2005! It's of Jeff fighting in the Indian Wars. Maybe you should also watch the movie Hero.

Jeff is Force-Fed Pudding • 1 January 2005

Of all of these drawings, this is the one that I find the most disgusting. God, what was I thinking?

Jeff Gets Deep-Fried Alive • 1 January 2005

Running out of ideas, I asked Tahirih what she thought the most horrible death would be. She replied that being deep-fried alive would be the worst. Well Tah, this is your nightmare!

Jeff Gives Birth • 1 January 2005

Yeah, this is pretty bad, too. Remember to use protection and this sort of thing won't happen to you!

Kill Bill Staring Jeff 1 • 1 January 2005

Jeff looks pretty slick in his yellow motorcycle outfit. If you dig this, then you'll probably also be interested in my comic, The Adventures of Jeff.

Kill Bill Staring Jeff 2 • 1 January 2005

I guess this could be considered in the "Jeff Dies Horribly" series, too. Here's our own Jeffy suffering the same death as O-Ren Ishii. Notice the skill of which his head was cut, preserving the brain perfectly.
