Beethoven's Ninth
Friday 18 May 2007

On 18 May Josh, Charles, James, and Laura went to a performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in D minor. Performed by the Toledo Symphony Orchestra with the Cleveland Symphony Choir, the performance was just supurb. Though it wasn't performed with the same intense passion as the famous 1942 Furtwängler performance, this was still one of the best interpretations of the piece. Afterwards we got dinner at Big Boy where we were probably the most over-dressed patrons in a long while.

The trees are bloody well there for a reason, you know James and Laura take a moment to sample the complimentary tree.

These may have been giant opium bushes for all I know A wise man once said that one should always stop to smell the trees.

Laura says that she was trying to be a bunny with a little cotton tail provided by the tree ... you can form your own conclusions That same wise man also mentioned that one should always stop to rub your bum on the trees.

He ends every sentence with 'And that's how easy it is for you to die!' Charles has brought you here because he wishes to sell you insurance.

He can also send sympathy flowers to your loved ones through sheer force of mind James is well-known for scanning suckers 'till their heads explode.

I suppose there's really no need for me to speak in the third person all the time on my own site The difference between you and Josh is that he makes this look good.
