Last Day of School, Fall 2006
Friday 15 December 2006

While that last day with Ian and Kim was in a sense the end of the normal semester routine, there was still a week of exams left for everybody. On the final day, with the last of our exams completed, Josh, Paul, Holly, and Carey met up in the practically deserted Student Union for one last go round for the semester. With no work, and nobody else to disturb, we were able to kick back and have the Union pretty much to ourselves.

And on top of that he needed a haircut Okay, this is from about a week prior, on the fifth. Josh was in the Union on a Tuesday, which is odd enough as it is, when Carey mosied on up. We'd been badgering him to join us for lunch all semester and now he finally shows up, in the last week, on a day when nobody is usually in! Way to go, Carey.

Things about shuttle launches and gopher gatherings Paul came to lunch with Josh on Friday the eighth, the last day of the semester proper. He weaseled his way into UT's wireless connection in order to check something on the Internets.

He also got a haircut -- 'bout time Okay, now we're finally on the very last day that I spoke of in the introduction. It's Friday the fifteenth, and Carey joined us for a final lunch. He got Subway because he likes to eat fresh.

Josh pokes around until he finds the things that people hate, then keeps stabbing there repeatedly Holly harbors a deep hatred of Josh because he likes to take pictures of people eating. That seems to be her number one pet peeve.

Carey is serious about his sandwiches Carey got some garlic dressing on his sandwich, but not too much! Lots of dressing makes the sandwich soggy.

Yes, that is what I think Paul doesn't seem to have nearly the same aversion to eating photos as some people, but he may not be too entirely crazy about them. Still, it makes for good drama, don't you think?

Those who eat less finish last Josh had already eaten, so all he had was his drink to complete a series of everybody eating. It's like he fails the game because everybody got more food except him.

This is all set to music, mind you I feel like I could get away with writing a stage show about the lives of Carey and Paul. Carey is a down-and-out mechanic who inherits a hefty sum from his wealthy father. Paul is a daring acrobatic lion tamer who has recently lost a leg in a freak accident. Their fates collide when Paul takes his car in for a tune-up.

It's simply a matter of conveinence Carey feels scorned that society might shun him for carrying a man bag with all of his belongings. Sometimes a person's pockets are not enough and if men and women are equal, then Carey should be able to own a purse ... MAN BAG.

It would have chased its shadow puppet tail ... Paul's good at this sort of thing This hand gesture would have made more sense had there been a brighter light source. Then his shadow puppet dog would have come to life.

The first take We tried to take a group portrait but Paul just wouldn't get in the frame.

The last take ever We tried another one, but even then Paul didn't squeeze in enough despite Josh's urgings. Paul is fired.

Surprisingly, it has absolutely nothing to do with algae content We can make up for his not being in frame by devoting an entire photo to Paul. He has uncovered the secret of what awesome is, but is keeping the answer hidden in his dresser drawer. The world is not ready.

Time to sleep for a month Well, this is it, kids. Time to ...

Screw it. Let's go home.
