The Haunting
Friday 20 October 2006

With Halloween just around the corner we decided to hit a haunted house! There was a house and a maze up in Adrian, Michigan called The Haunting that looked promising. The house was a little weak, with the actors not as into their roles as they could have been. The maze was well done though, with Ian, Kim and Mike's team getting out first. Josh, Paul and Holly lost the day. Afterwards we settled our losses over Taco Bell, dinner of champions.

Some of us wound up at the Malcolm's afterwards where we watched Interview With a Vampire before calling it a night.

Attendees: Josh Gulch, Ian Malcolm, Kim Powalowski, Paul Arquette, Holly Layman, and Mike Gillespie.

I think it's time learn that This is the exact instant where Paul introduced Ian and Kim to Holly.

Another historic event washed out because Josh never tried to figure out the camera's flash settings.

Josh has no morals Kim has a "no photographs" policy, but Josh has to get his photos to his publisher.

He can't do anything right Josh ran into a fence inside the haunted house. They built a maze of fences and then flashed strobe lights while you tried to get through them. Josh got hurt.

Watch for this photo on Paul's MySpace in the near future Once again Paul is caught seemingly totally off-guard by the camera.

A new Kim rising As we wandered towards the maze we found ourselves stunned by the sight before us: dawn over Kim.

It's not you, it's me I could have cropped this photo in such a way that we could have a tender photo of the new couple, but I left Mike in because I'm sort of a jerk.

In time everything in this photo will come together as one Now here we have Ian and Kim, and that's nice and all, but my priorities lie elsewhere.

Though Holly's faster Paul and Holly share a particular trait in common: thumbs up for the camera!

Paul may not realize what he's gotten himself into Also, Holly's got West Side pride all up where it's at.

Also when their eyes start to glow You can tell that you're not doing the maze properly when you run into the second group, and they're backtracking.

If not then he will quickly learn Paul and Holly try to determine which path to take. Paul should know better than to argue if you know what I mean. Hurrr.

Though a video may have been more appropriate Josh explaining that "we're going to die in here."

For example, we learned that Ian's face had been overtaken by a white blob since we'd seen him last You can easily learn of the other team's progress by holding the camera over the walls of the maze when they're on the other side.

Holly seems stunned Utterly and horribly lost, Paul indicates which direction we ought to try.

I'm not really bitter or anything.... We finally got out, only to be mocked by Ian. For his behavior (not just for winning), I give you this photo of Ian touching his chin.

He punched me later Paul's all like "we'd have gotten out first if I hadn't listened to you, Josh."

She hadn't eaten in weeks up until this point But look! Kim got the cotton candy, something she had been striving to acquire for a month!

Now every photo will have Ian's floating head Cotton candy: it's Ian approved!

It's true, I've said all that I can Man, what more can I say about Kim eating cotton candy with Ian's approval? Nothing.

Insert Abby Road reference here With a haunted house and maze behind us we departed the fairgrounds to seek out food.

There was even a soundtrack with heavy strings Leaving the fairgrounds was just as dramatic as you could ever imagine.

There's a line that should never be crossed and this is it One thing that Ian does not approve of is photos taken of him getting into his car.

Because I try to be nice sometimes O Taco Bell! Mike reacts probably to Ian while Holly prepares to eat her crunchwrap supreme.

Please note that she is only preparing to eat it, while not actually in the process of doing so. You may write this distinction in your notebook.

Regular Pepsi was all watered down Kim meanwhile favors Dr Pepper or Wild Cherry Pepsi, I don't remember what.

It's like he's a Republican Ian sits indignant, unwilling to accept a differing perspective to some important problem.

This is why I don't eat crunchwrap supremes It's only been a week but Paul already seems to know what he's up against ... insanity.

It makes you look like an idiot and Ian only goes after smart people Josh demonstrates the best method of defending yourself against Ian: make yourself look big and wave your arms around.

Too tired for basketball even It's been a long day of driving all over the place and Ian's a tired boy.

The device will be important when everything comes to a head Kim, meanwhile, wastes no time in checking the condition of the device.

Robots could have a minor link to the device Mike stands tall with his sweatshirt that has like a robot or something on it. It had better be a robot anyhow because robots are awesome.

It's a fake smile, sorry And that's a night, smiles Josh as he favors the side of his face that isn't all punched in.
