Out Bowling
Friday 25 November 2005

Out of the blue on day Jeff decided that he should get as many people as possible and have a grand night out. Within an hour he had managed to round up quite a coterie to go bowling. Two games were played, then several of us went out to dinner at Big Boy, finishing with us going to the Osthimer house to play "Scene It" for the rest of the evening.

Paul and Phil are so much alike. They both have four letter first names beginning with "P" and ending with "L." They're like brothers almost.

Phil and Jeff are a different matter, though Phil looks quite stylish in Alisa's coat, doesn't he?

This is the only picture taken of people actually bowling. Dan seems to have gotten yet another strike.

The female spectrum of the bowling portion of the evening is represented here with Kellie, Alisa, and the arm of Kim.

There is a story about this picture that I don't want to tell you over the Internet.

The neck is a weak spot on the human body. Why, it's amazing how easy it is to just snap a man's neck, as shown in this demonstration on Phil.

Josh is oft times disgusted, and this time is no different. What disgusts Josh so much is uncertain. Might it be the woman behind him? Who knows?

Jeff is a generally cheerful sort of guy. He's smiling here because he's probably doing better than everyone else in something. It might be bowling, but it might be something different.

If there was ever any doubt, Paul can be one of the creepiest guys I know. What's worse is that he knows where you live.

Dan, on the other hand, is nearly always a goofy mofo. Why, this one time he caught a fish this big.

Maybe Kellie doesn't like having her picture taken? I really cannot say.

Paul needs a game show where he has ordinary people living their lives before playing some horrible trick on them.

"Here we have Josh Gulch, and little does he know that he's about to have a crate of fire ants dumped on his head any minute now. Let's watch!"

By the time we finished bowling it had begun to snow! Phil might be dancing, but Alisa and Dan likely think him the fool.

Jeff wasn't too happy with the snow. Now, is that the spirit of the Gryffindor attitude, Jeffy, to be so frumpy?

This is one of those rare moments of Josh being in a happier mood than Jeff. But that's what snow can do to people, y'know?

This smile is not as pained as his attempts a week earlier to be happy about snow.

Paul seems pretty okay with the snow as well! He and Josh may have a "Snow is Okay" club, of which Jeff is certainly not a member.

Probably one of the more disgusting things Josh has done was make a bowling alley parking lot snow angel. The feet are funky because he did this on his stomach, so his toes were pointing down to the asphalt.

Always an art critic, Ian gives his thumbs up of approval to Josh's creation.

After that Ian, Kim and Phil parted ways and the rest of us wound up at Big Boy, where we were joined by Dave and Jean Fisk. Paul contemplates what he might order from the menu.

That's the sign of someone who knows what he wants for dinner! This may not be so difficult a choice after all.

But what if it's the wrong choice? What then? What will people think?

Alisa and Jeff, pretending not to acknowledge the other one's presence.

You're about to witness a magic trick.

Poof! It's Dan Norton!

Neat, huh?

With dinner out of the way we returned to Jeff and Erin's pad. Of course, they had to be all mushy with each other since they'd been apart all day.

This was Josh's reaction to their cuddling.

Alisa has entered the building, totally not expecting to be photographed.

Paul is always surprised!

A Night at the Osthimers, staring Dan Norton!

This was Kellie's arrival, even though she only saw half of it.

It was decided that we should play Scene It! At first we had two teams, divided by males and females.

Felicity came over and we split into five two-person teams. Jeff begins to hit the grapes.

Yeah, that's pretty much how every night ends.
